August Favourites

Hey there people! Today I want to share with you the with the things I liked the most and used the most in August. 

1. Noa Eau de toillete 

It was my birthday on the 16th of August and my lovely friend got me this lovely perfume which I didn't have for a long long time. I love the way that this smell brought back so many memories, like how is it even possible? Ha!  Noa is classified as a luxurious, gentle, floral fragrance, with a blend of fruit and spices. It's definitely one of my favourite fragrances.

2.  MISS SPORTY perfect colour lipstick 038 I love

This is my favourite lipstick of all times. I love love love the colour. It really is perfect. It's so vibrant and eye catching. It stays on for a long time and I love to wear it on a night out. It's really cheap too, around €4 .        I have to look out for different shades of this perfect colour lipstick. 

3. CATRICE Prime and fine translucent loose powder

My friend Aggy introduced me to this beauty. This is crucial when you're planning on going out as it keeps the makeup in place and gets rid of unwanted shine without drying out the skin. Because it's translucent, it adapts to every skin tone and ensures a smooth, matt and radiant complexion when applied over makeup. It's affordable and does the job right!

4. Rimmel BB cream 9in1

I got this BB cream while I was in Poland. I wanted to try it as everybody was talking about it. So while I was in my friends' house I showed it to my friend who is obsessed with makeup and I was veeery disappointed when she told me that the real BB creams are only produced in Asia and cost around €25 which is expensive comparing to the one I bought in Poland for about €5. Nonetheless I really like this BB cream. At first I couldn't get used to the consistency, which is a bit thicker than my foundation. I usually wear it under my foundation, but when it was really sunny here in Ireland, I was wearing only the BB cream. I will definitely buy it again.

5. TRESemme shampoo for dry, frizz prone hair

My sister bought this shampoo on sale for about €3. I used it once, because mine was finished and since that time I've been stealing it from her (sorry sis :P ) It's a 900ml bottle anyway.. TRESemme is a really good brand for hair products. I have a hairspray as well and it's brilliant. So anyway I love this shampoo, because it leaves my hair sooo smooth.

Tip of the week #1 + jogging challenge

Summer is almost over.. :( What better way to end it than sweat your ass off for the last few days. So my friends and I have started a challenge. From 28th of August until 20th of September we have to run 17 times for at least 30 mins.We will be recording our time and we will be putting it in a table. The winner will be announced on the 20th of September. If you want to, you can join us, if you don't then... just wish us luck!

REVIEW: Oriflame triple core 3D lipstick

Hey guys. So I am a biiiiig lipstick/ chopstick/ lip gloss addict. I probably have about 30 of them in total. I like vibrant colours and I need lipsticks to moisturise my lips as I tend to freak out when I feel like my lips are going dry. Some time ago I bought  this triple core 3D lipstick from Oriflame. It really caught my eye when I saw it in the catalogue. I thought the 3D effect looked really cool so I picked it up.

What the company claims: 

The world’s first triple core lipstick fusing caring balm, passionate colour and dramatic gloss into one. The result is lips that are softer, more beautiful and more impactful than ever before. With avocado, jojoba oil, chamomile and vitamin E. 

Basically the lipstick aims to create an optical illusion of fuller lips due to contour, volume and the vibrant colours.

The lipstick contains 3 different shades to create the 3D effect:

• Darker shade (the outer core) - contour effect to make lips appear more voluminous 
• Silver shade (the middle core) - illuminate and optically plump your lips
• Lighter shade ( the inner core) - the finishing touch. Contrasting colour gives stunning volume.

It comes in five shades:

• Nude peach
• Coral pink
• Red Coral
• Fuschia candy
• Berry pink

The one I got is Red coral

Bare lips

Price: The catalogue price is €15.25 but I got it on sale for €10.95

Pros:
- Easy to apply
- blends in easily
- doesn't feel heavy on the lips
- there is a choice between the shades
- nice packaging
- it makes the lips look fuller
- good for everyday use or party

Cons:
- a bit too pricey

Would I recommend it: Yes

Would I repurchase: Probably

Newspaper nail design tutorial

 Hey guys, today I am going to show you how to create this super easy newspaper nail design.

What you are going to need:

• base coat ( I used 8in1 total action intensive conditioner by EVELINE
• newspaper strips ( make sure you use pieces where there are no big gaps between the print)
• light coloured nail polish ( I used MISS SELENE pearl nail polish)
• alcohol ( I used some vodka)
• top coat ( I actually used SALLY HANSEN strengthener)

First, I painted my nails with the base coat and once it has dried out, I put two layers of the nail polish.

Then I poured some vodka in the cap. Make sure the nail polish dries out. Then what you want to do is dip the nail in the vodka for about 30 seconds.

Take it out and press the piece of newspaper onto the nail for about 15 seconds. Make sure it stay in one place and doesn't move, because you don't want the print to be blurred. 

Remove the newspaper piece and you can clean around the nail with some cotton bud soaked in nail polish remover. It's very important to use the top coat as it will stop the ink from rubbing off and it also will add some shine. That's it!! Your eye-catching newspaper nails are finished. Easy, huh?

REVIEW: 2FX mascara Oriflame

Today I'm going to review 2FX Mascara from Oriflame. As I told you before, I'm a consultant, so I always try to pick up something new and try it out. I have been devoted to the one and only Rimmel Glam'eyes Lash Flirt mascara ( I probably will review it some other time) for the past 4?5? years, so I decided to give this one a try. 

One mascara, Two effects – How does it all work?
While it might at first appear that there are two different brushes, there is of course only one. Thanks to an innovative brush wiper mechanism, opening the black cap limits the amount of bulk that is deposited on the brush for defined yet lengthened lashes. When you open the silver cap more mascara is left on the brush for voluptuous and volumized lashes. I have never seen a mascara like that before. 

So let me show you how it looks on my lashes. I have short and thin eye lashes. 

Price: The catalogue price is €13.75 but I bought it on sale for only €6.25. I think this is a reasonable price for a mascara.

Pros:
- You can create 2 different looks
- separates lashes 
- it's easy to wipe off 
- it's affordable 
- defines the lashes 
- dries quickly

Cons:
-it clumps a little bit when I put the second coat on, but in my opinion one coat is enough
-it's not waterproof
- doesn't really curl the lashes, but if you have a curler it won't be a problem :)

Would I recommend it: Yes, if you know anyone who is a consultant, I would advise you to go and talk to them or  order from me

Would I repurchase? Yes

My name is Noemi, but everybody calls me Emka. I'm a 19 year old student. I'm also an Oriflame consultant so expect a lot of cosmetic reviews hehe :)

 I created this blog to share with you my opinions and thoughts on various different things, but mainly beauty and makeup products, reviews of them etc. (BTW I'm not an expert or anything)
